Hello and Welcome to
Ms. Kristi’s Cool Cats Class,
Last year, your child
may have been in Miss Tracey’s wiggle worm room. As your child grows, he or she will experience a greater
curiosity about the world around him.
It is my goal to provide your child with educational stimulation through
a structured, yet fun filled, day.
As attention spans increase, so does the opportunity for learning.
A Little About Me-
I’ve been married to my
husband Brian for twelve years, and we have two boys, Joe and Chet, who both
benefited from attending Happy House. I am a busy stay at home mom when I’m not
at Happy House.
I believe all children
thrive on routine and being able to predict what will come next. That being said: please try to drop off and pick your
kiddos up in a timely manner. Kids
this age tend to get anxious when they don’t know what to expect.
A Little About How
our Room Will Work-
The first Monday of
every month, I will send home a note about the up-coming lessons. The last Wednesday of every month, I
will send out a “progress report” of sorts to show the progress your little one
is making. I hope you take this opportunity to discuss with your kiddos what
they are learning.
I strive to be
compassionate yet firm with children.
I give one warning for “serious” behaviors. After that, it is timeout. A time out will result in children loosing a cat from their
hat. Each child will start the day
with three cats. At the end of the
day, the children will count their remaining cats. We will have a bar graph that shows our classes progress
toward earning a prize. If your
child receives a time out, a behavior form will be sent home: this needs to be
signed and returned to school.
I am sending a
questionnaire about your kiddos.
This will give me the opportunity to know a little more about the
specific strength(s) likes and dislikes of each child. I would like to be able to use some of
this information to formulate some of our “labs.” I’m also starting a blog for our classroom this year. You can find it at www.mskristiscoolcats.blogspot.com I thought this would be a fun way for
you to see some of our activities.
I am enclosing a permission form to allow your child’s first name and
last initial as well as photo to be used on the blog.
I have an open
door. Please feel free to e-mail
me any time with questions or concerns.
My e-mail address is kristi.gold@gmail.com

We're looking forward to a great year!
